Anders Ström has assumed the position of Chairman of the Board at Kambi Group, taking over from Lars Stugemo.
A key figure in Kambi’s growth for almost ten years, Stugemo chose to relinquish his role. He conveyed his decision to the Kambi Group Nomination Committee and recommended Anders Ström as his replacement. Stugemo, who also co-founded Kambi, has played a vital part in the company’s development but believed it was the opportune moment to hand over leadership, deciding not to seek re-election at the 2024 Annual General Meeting. He voiced his faith in Ström, emphasizing their shared background as co-founders and Ström’s extensive knowledge of the company.
Ström brings a wealth of expertise to the position. He established Kindred Group in 1997 and co-founded Kambi in 2010, cementing his standing as a leading figure in the gaming sector. Having been a member of Kambi’s Board since its formation, he is well-equipped to guide the company into its next phase.
It is with great privilege that I embrace the Kambi board’s request to act as chairman. I anticipate guiding the board toward enhanced achievements. Kambi has lately partnered with several entities, showcasing significant progress and reshaping the landscape of sports wagering,” he remarked.
It is important to mention that as Mr. Strän presently holds a position on the nomination committee and the board, he was not part of the deliberations concerning his own proposal and selection.
