Aristotle Leisure Limited (ASX) has declared that Richard Bell, Deputy General Counsel and Company Secretary, has stepped down from his position.
Bell has been commended for his legal know-how, with Aristotle CEO Trevor Croker expressing gratitude to Bell for his “pivotal role in many of the ASX’s groundbreaking mergers and acquisitions in recent times.”
Croker also pointed out that Bell oversaw a number of takeovers during his time in the role, including the $500 million acquisition of social gaming provider Plarium in 2017 and the $990 million acquisition of Big Fish Games from Churchill Downs Incorporated in 2018.
Bell, who has held the position for six years, will be succeeded by Tracy Elkington, while Aristotle awaits full regulatory approval for his permanent replacement, Christie Joe.
Aristotle recently announced robust half-year results for 2021, with revenue reaching A$2.23 billion (£1.27 billion/€1.48 billion/$1.8 billion). This was largely driven by the success of the supplier’s digital business, counterbalancing a decrease in machine sales due to the impact of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic on the land-based gaming industry.
